Lights, camera, action! Discover the art of filmmaking in this hands-on workshop designed for aspiring filmmakers ages 18 and up. Over the course of five weeks, participants will meet twice a week to learn the fundamentals of storytelling, cinematography, directing, sound, editing, and production. Whether you’re brand new to filmmaking or looking to sharpen your skills, you’ll gain practical, real-world experience while collaborating with fellow creatives. Bring your passion, and leave with the knowledge and confidence to start telling your own stories on screen.

Led by experienced filmmakers, this workshop allows participants to work with industry-standard tools (provided) and techniques. Ending in a special screening at the historic State Theatre, where participants will premiere their finished film on the big screen.

Enrollment is limited, and participants must be 18+

Classes will take place twice a week from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., August 17 through September 16.
