How Can I buy a ticket?
You can buy a ticket online via our website or at our Box Office 12-3pm Monday – Friday or whenever an event is happening.
Where can I park?
There are multiple parking options in Modesto, all of which are within a few blocks of the theatre.
Free Parking – Two hour street parking is available 8am-6pm daily.
Pay Parking – The nearest City Parking Garage is located at 11th Street between J and K streets, and is $1.25/hour.
When is the box office open?
The Box Office is open from 12-3pm Monday-Friday and whenever we have a film or event happening.
Do you do private rentals?
Is seating reserved or general admission?
For most films in The State, seats are general admission. For showings at the Jewel and for some live events at The State, seats are reserved. You will select your seats at the time of ticket purchase.
What’s your refund policy?
All ticket sales are final however, if you are not able to use your tickets, you may donate them back to The State Theatre. To donate your tickets, please return them to the Box Office prior to the concert or performance. We are not able to accept donations of unused film tickets. The State will acknowledge your ticket donation by mail and you will receive a donation letter suitable for filing with your tax return. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 1492, Modesto, CA 95354.

Matinee – $9.00 + $1.00 Fee
After 6 pm- $11.00 + $1.00 Fee
NO FEES WHEN PURCHASED AT BOX OFFICE
Tickets to live events vary, and a $2 preservation fee is applied to all concert and performance ticket sales. This fee is used for ongoing restoration, repair and maintenance of the non-profit State Theatre.
How do I get my tickets if I buy online?
Tickets are delivered via email.
Do you serve alcohol?
Yes, our selections of beer and wine changes regularly. Full bar available.
