Synopsis
The Dark Room Film Finale is the culmination of a month-long competition in which filmmakers across Modesto and Central Valley challenged themselves to write, film, and edit an original horror shor film.
October 3rd’s finale night is a full event, not just a screening. Come in costume, walk the red carpet, and watch the top 16 horror shorts made for this event, back to back on the big screen. The audience picks a winner too: the Audience Choice Award is decided live, by vote, in the room.
Come meet your fellow filmmakers, celebrate local art, and join our community in Modesto! Come dressed in your favorite Holloween costume! It’s a night for fun and film!
The Dark Room is a spin off event of the Modesto 48 Hour Film Competition presented by the State Theatre of Modesto and directed by Andrew Fischer Wong of Re:Told Productions.
