Alex Alta

Central California native Alex Alta is a rising voice in stand-up comedy known for blending sharp observational humor with stories rooted in everyday Latino culture. Growing up in California’s Central Valley, Alta developed a comedic style that reflects the quirks of small-town life, family dynamics, and the universal struggle of navigating modern relationships. Alta is best recognized for his viral and crowd-favorite “Torta Finder” material, a hilarious bit that plays on dating culture, self-awareness, and the unique slang and humor of Mexican-American communities. The routine has helped him build a loyal following both online and on stage, where audiences connect with his laid-back delivery and relatable storytelling. Whether he’s riffing on life in the Valley, love gone wrong, or cultural identity, Alex Alta continues to establish himself as one of Central California’s most entertaining emerging comedians.

Originally from Central California, Marcus Peverill may have come from humble beginnings, but make no mistake, his comedic talent far exceeds his small-town living. Currently residing in Modesto, CA, Peverill quickly became a fan favorite, showcased by show-stealing performances inside Cobbs Comedy Club, Punch Line Sacramento, Def Puppy Comedy Club, and Laughs Unlimited Comedy Club. Already earning high praise from stand-up comedy superstars and native peers. Marcus entertains the audience using reality-based material centered around his unique life as the cool kid.

Glory Magaña

Glory Magaña was born to entertain! As the youngest of 15 there was never a dull moment or a night without an audience! Glory started her career in 2012 and first performed at The Purple Onion in San Francisco, CA, the same stage where Phyllis Diller, Woody Allen, and Richard Pryor paved their ways to fame. She made her way around the Bay Area performing at Cobb’s Comedy, San Francisco Punchline, Tommy Ts in Pleasanton, and the Sacramento Punchline. She then performed in Los Angeles at the Icehouse in Pasadena (finally headlining this year!), the Laugh Factory in Long Beach and Hollywood, and The Comedy Store. Glory has since performed across the U.S and Mexico. You’ll be sure to have fun watching her animated presence on stage!

Raised in Oakland, CA, but with deep roots in Texas, Tristan’s comedy is as adaptable as his upbringing. Since 2009, he has brought laughter to diverse audiences, whether at a church function, comedy club, or comedy competition. Tristan has excelled in notable competitions, including The Bay Area Black, Chocolate Sunday at the Laugh Factory, and The World Series of Comedy: Las Vegas. He has also opened for renowned comedic acts such as DC Young Fly, Desi Banks, Redd Grant, and Luenell. With over 150 church performances under his belt, Tristan is the versatile comedian you’ve been looking for.

Aida Rodriguez is a comedian, actor and writer. Lauded by Esquire Magazine as “raucously funny,” she has become a favorite with fans and critics alike. With her first hour standup special now streaming and her own TV series in development, both at HBOMax, Aida is bound for the comedy stratosphere.

In November 2021, Aida’s first hour standup special Fighting Words premiered on HBOMax. In the special, the comedian takes to the stage to address today’s audiences about cancel-culture and the social issues of the day, not just because they’re ripped from the headlines, but because they are in the pages torn out of her personal life. Additionally, Rodriguez is developing her own half hour comedy series with HBOMax based on her own incredible life story, which includes surviving two kidnappings, sexual abuse, and a period of homelessness. Co-written and Executive Produced by Rodriguez, Chris Case (Showtime’s Flatbush Misdemeanors) and Nastaran Dibai (Netflix’s Dear White People), the project examines the struggle of a comedian (Rodriguez) who is trying to kick start a career while raising two very different teenagers on her own over multiple time zones. It is an uplifting story of survival and

triumph in the face of a darkly funny Miami inner-city upbringing, where she learned skills that allowed her to thrive and endure.

In 2020, Aida headlined the HBO LatinX standup special Entrenos while also appearing in Showtime’s Shaquille O’Neal Presents: All Star Comedy Jam, one of only four women to have performed on the series in its 15 seasons. Prior to that, she had her own half hour special on Netflix’s hit comedy series They Ready, Executive Produced by Tiffany Haddish and Wanda Sykes. In reviews Decider gushed that the special “will have you laughing, crying and begging for more” and Esquire Magazine declared “This is

Rodriguez’s genius—using comedy to turn pain into progress, to give voice to the voiceless, and to laugh instead of cry.”

In addition to her TV projects, Aida was handpicked by director Taylor Hackford for his feature film “The Comedian” starring Robert De Niro. She is also the five-time host of PBS’ Imagen Awards, which recognizes and rewards creative excellence of Latinos in television and film. She is a guest writer for Buzzfeed as well as a regular Commentator on the popular online progressive political talk show The Young Turks. Rodriguez hosts her own podcast, Truth Serum, which is an interactive weekly wrap up show covering the week’s hottest topics, where inclusivity and diversity are a standard, not an initiative.

A longtime favorite on the standup circuit, Aida was a finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing and has been featured on several comedy fan-favorite TV series, including Comedy Central’s This Week at the Comedy Cellar, HBO’s Pause with Sam Jay, and TBS’ Tournament of Laughs. She tours the country performing her distinct brand of poignant and insightful comedy to sold out audiences, inviting her longtime fans to laugh hard, think hard, and feel hard.
