Valley Improvement Projects (VIP) is a grassroots environmental and social justice organization that has worked alongside Stanislaus County residents for nearly 15 years to advance community health and sustainability. Through community organizing, education, and advocacy, VIP has helped lead local efforts to reduce waste, promote recycling and composting, and advance environmental justice.
VIP will host a screening of The Plastic Detox, a documentary exploring the impacts of plastic pollution on our environment and health. Following the film, attendees will participate in a community discussion about Plastic Free July, the role plastics play in our daily lives, and practical actions individuals and communities can take to reduce plastic waste.
The event aims to inspire conversation, raise awareness, and connect residents with local opportunities to create a healthier and more sustainable future.
