Synopsis

Josh Rosenblum Band

Josh Rosenblum is an award-winning musician, singer and performer who started his music career in Modesto at the age of 16. With musical roots in jazz from a long family line of jazz musicians, Josh learned his first instrument, the trumpet, at the age of 5. A defining musical direction came at 15 when he was gifted a guitar for his birthday which soon turned his direction to the pop/rock genre. Inspired by some of his favorite artists including John Mayer and Jason Mraz, Josh would begin to write original music and perform with his band in the Modesto area for several years, The Josh Rosenblum Band picked up Best Pop/Rock Band at the MAMA awards in 2012, 2015, 2018.

Moving to both Los Angeles and San Diego would expand his musical reach, including a signing to indy label Pacific Records. Releasing his 6th album in 2020 and ready to hit the road with label support, the pandemic hit and all things came to a halt. He decided to relocate to the Central California Coast, where he spent the next two years becoming a new Dad, recording a new album and releasing his 7th body of original work, Love Letter. In just a month after release in August 2023, Love Letter would be nominated for Best Album in the 15th Annual SLO New Times Music Awards, a highly respected acknowledgement from a panel of music industry professionals. Competing with almost a hundred local artists, Josh landed Best Album winner and performed at the awards ceremony. Since then, he’s gone on to be supported by KJUG, KCBX and Krush radio, and is booked fulltime as a performing musician.

Josh’s sound today combines genres of rock, soul and pop to create original music that is mass appeal and familiar. Live shows have become the cornerstone of Josh’s music, reinterpreting his songs at every show. Josh says” “We believe in allowing every performance to be as musically spontaneous as possible while keeping the original foundation of each song alive, but most importantly, we’re just a bunch of musicians that love to jam!” The Josh Rosenblum Band can’t wait to rock The State on Friday, May 3rd!
