Synopsis
Join us in the lobby for a guided drawing study led by Patrick Barr of The Dragonfly Art for Life, inspired by the masterworks of Michelangelo. Afterwards, stay for a special screening of Michelangelo: Love and Death.
This drawing study captures the iconic hands from Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam, a masterpiece adorning the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Focusing on the expressive anatomy and divine tension between the extended fingers, the study explores the delicate balance of touch, creation, and humanity that defines one of the most powerful moments in Renaissance art.
Patrick comes to us with more than 20 years experience as a professional artist. With a background that includes The Academy of Art College and Disney Animation Studios, Pat has experience not only as an animator and illustrator but as a teacher for many years.
Study begins at 5; film starts at 7 p.m.
