One of California’s premier comedy entertainment companies returns to Modesto, CA, with another electrifying performance from some of the funniest comedians in stand-up comedy as part of We Own The Laughs: Modesto on Saturday September 27th inside The State Theatre.

The event will feature hilarious performances by Monique Flores, Slick Ramirez, Martin Rizo, and J Valentino, our evening’s headliner.

Drink, Mingle, & Laugh as our evening host will be 209 native Glory Magaña.

Enjoy the best part of our weekend, which features laughs with your family and friends while sharing some excellent snacks and adult beverages from The State Theatre.

Glory Magaña

Glory Magaña was born to entertain! As the youngest of 15 there was never a dull moment or a night without an audience! Glory started her career in 2012 and first performed at The Purple Onion in San Francisco, CA, the same stage where Phyllis Diller, Woody Allen, and Richard Pryor paved their ways to fame. She made her way around the Bay Area performing at Cobb’s Comedy, San Francisco Punchline, Tommy Ts in Pleasanton, and the Sacramento Punchline. She then performed in Los Angeles at the Icehouse in Pasadena (finally headlining this year!), the Laugh Factory in Long Beach and Hollywood, and The Comedy Store. Glory has since performed across the U.S and Mexico. You’ll be sure to have fun watching her animated presence on stage!

Slick Ramirez

Wild and hilariously unapologetic, Slick Ramirez is READY to stake his claim as one of the best stand-up comedians you’ll ever see on stage. Respected by peers for his fearless stage presence and always ready to shine on the mic at a moment’s notice, Alvin is already earning high praise from comedy stars like Ellis Rodriguez and Jose “Hoozay” Velasquez. Ramirez entertains the audience using reality-based material centered around his life as a handsome single Latin male. It’s not possible to stop his comedic greatness; you can only hope to keep yourself from suffering from too much laughter. Slick has become a regular featured and headlining performer at venues across Northern California, including Cobbs Comedy Club, Laughs Unlimited, Deaf Puppy Comedy Club, and Punch Line Sacramento.

Monique Flores

Monique Flores is a stand-up comic in bloom. Since the age of 7, Monique has called L.A. home, where, as a young girl, she fantasized about someday becoming a stand-up comedian. After graduating college, Monique started a career in Real Estate. After the housing bubble popped, Monique pursued her childhood dream and took comedy full-time. Now Monique entertains audiences all across California, performing at comedy clubs like The Ice House, Laugh Factory, Punch Line & Improv. Much of Monique’s humor is drawn from her family life and her daily experiences. Coming from a huge family, Monique characterizes many of them in her on-stage tales. Monique is both energetic and physical, crafting comical cracks and observations.

Martin Rizo

Martin has reached a considerable number of milestones throughout his comedic career, ranging from TV appearances to touring the country—Mexican-American stand-up comedian whose debut comedy album, Maruchan Means Broke, was released in 2014. Martin has been a writer for Maker Studios and appeared as an actor in films like 2016’s Funny Fat Guy. He grew up in East Los Angeles and began doing stand-up comedy in 2007. Rizo was featured in a McDonald’s commercial that aired during the Super Bowl in 2011. The Southern California comedian has worked as a writer on Damn TV with Gabriel Iglesias. Rizo has been seen on Instagram, TikTok, Don’t Tell Comedy, Netflix & more!

J Valentino

The word “Entertainer” conjures up a few images in many people’s minds when they hear the word. One would like to think that J. Valentino could be counted amongst them. Born Julian Valentino Terriquez, he is a Los Angeles native with a passion for entertaining the masses. Throughout his videos, stand-up shows, and live DJ sets, he employs an extensive repertoire of distinctive styles to bring originality to everything he touches. As an artist dedicated to a range of disciplines, including turntablism, crowd control, and stand-up shows, J. Valentino has established himself as a legitimate international artist. By incorporating comedy and DJ videos into his unique style, J. Valentino has developed a massive global following, boasting millions of followers on social media. A great MC is not afraid to grab a microphone and showcase their skills in bringing the party to life. Mr. Valentino is no exception. When Valentino performs live, he promises to give you everything he has to offer in terms of a live performance, as his passion for what he does is unlike anything you have ever seen before.
