Read and act out the Graphic Novel first, in English and/or Spanish! Combine Readers’s Theater, Reading, Aesop’s Fables and the Performing Arts, with Opera Modesto’s THE RACE. Begin with the bilingual graphic novel in the classroom, reading aloud or silently. Imagine and act out the five Aesop’s Fables in THE RACE. Come to the beautiful The State Theatre to enjoy the international award-winning movie (80 laurels from around the world!) with English & Spanish subtitles, performed by 19 diverse 11-19 year olds from the Central Valley on the big screen. Perhaps stars from the movie will be present!
