The State Theatre is excited to host our annual BOTB contest, which begins online and culminates in a live show in front of a packed audience on Saturday, March 18, 2023, featuring eight (8) performers selected from this year’s participating bands.
Please Note: The top five (5) bands with the highest vote count will move on to the live show. In addition, three (3) bands will be chosen to perform at the live show by a panel of judges, regardless of vote count.
ONLINE VOTING:
· Online voting begins Feb. 1, 2023 and ends on Feb. 28, 2023 at 5pm.
· Registered voters will only be able to vote once, but will be able to cast up to 5 votes for their favorite band or for multiple bands.
· Sharing the voting link on social media is strongly encouraged.
· Any digital tampering or actions deemed as “voter fraud” by a performer, relative, friend, or acquaintance of any battling group on behalf of group will result in disqualification for the group.

PRIZES:
· $5,000 Grand Prize will be awarded based on a panel of judges at the live show
· $1,500 Audience Choice Award will be awarded based on in-person voting at the live show
A Note to Voters: Please be aware that in an effort to be fair to all bands, by rule each song was recorded using only a smartphone; therefore, audio quality does not necessarily reflect the quality of music that each band is capable of producing. Please keep that in mind when voting.
